Image related to Andrea Garland | OB GYN | Camellia Women's Health | Sacramento Dr. Garland became interested in medicine at a young age as her mother is a home physical therapist. She taught her the power of seeing that a patient’s health is directly related to not only their physical but also their emotional well-being. She has lived abroad in Japan and Thailand, and feels that travel has expanded her horizons and changed her world perspective. She loves to learn about new cultures and places.

She has a passion for taking care of women throughout all phases of their lives from menarche to menopause. She particularly enjoys taking care of women with high risk pregnancies. She has a special interest in colposcopy and cervical dysplasia/abnormal pap smears. She enjoys counseling women about contraception and preventative medicine. She also enjoys performing minimally invasive surgery whenever possible (laparoscopy, laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy). She strives to bring compassionate and individualized care to each patient.
